About
Troop 216 is based out of Marysville, Michigan, in the Water and Woods Field Service Council. Our meetings are held Tuesdays at 7:00 P.M. at Gardens Elementary School in Marysville. Currently we have approx. 55 scouts registered. Each year, we turn out many Eagle Scouts. When you earn your Eagle, you have earned the highest rank in Boy Scouts. Marysville Troop 216 is chartered by the Marysville Lions Club. We were founded in 1928. Troop 216 goes on many camping trips, at least one a month, including some very rugged ones. We also do many non-camping activities and service projects. The troop also goes on a "High Adventure" trip of hiking or canoeing in the summer. Many of our scouts also belong to Mackinac Island Service Troop 168, and Agaming Maangogwan Lodge of the Order of the Arrow. Each year, troop 216 offers many opportunities for rank advancement and to earn merit badges. Troop 216 is boy run, boy done. Our junior leaders run all of the troop programs. Our troop is broken down into patrols, with about 5-10 scouts per patrol. Each patrol has a patrol leader and assistant patrol leader. They are responsible for what each member will do. The Senior Patrol leader overseas the whole troop and gives directions to his two assistants.
