By building a supportive environment for students in Nassau County, Communities In Schools aims to provide them with the tools they need to be successful in school and all other areas of their lives. CIS focuses on five areas that are key to a student's success: a safe learning environment, a healthy start for a healthy future, the positive influence of a caring adult, valuable skills that are applicable in the real world, and the opportunity to help out their community and peers.
