Started in 1990, Aquidneck Land Trust began as a group of neighbors with the dream to preserve Aquidneck Island and its environmental health, natural resources, and economic value. Directed by an Advisory Board of more than 20 members, the Aquidneck Land Trust remains committed to that goal. It works to offer expert knowledge in areas including agriculture, finance, real estate, law, environmental protection, and land conservation, as well as a staff that looks after the full-time management of stewardship, fundraising, land conservation, and community involvement.
