About
Macmillan Cancer Support works at improving the lives of people who have or whose lives are affected by cancer. The organisation provides the much-needed support be it medical, emotional or financial to the 2 million people across the UK who have cancer. It also supports the families of people living with cancer, the carers, and the communities. In addition, the organisation supports nurses and other care specialists as well as building cancer care centres. Financial support is also given to families so they can cope with the extra costs relating to cancer. Advocacy and campaigning are also a large part of Macmillan's work and they aim to fight the discrimination that people with cancer face in terms of health insurance and travel costs. By raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support you can make a real difference in the lives of people with cancer.
