L'association Le panier du chat chineur a pour objet de sensibiliser à la stérilisation des animaux de compagnie (et notamment les chats), et d'apporter son aide aux associations ou particuliers œuvrant dans la protection animale. Pour réaliser son objet, l'association oeuvrera pour la sensibilisation du public par tous moyens de communication (tracts, courriels, diffusion sur le net etc.). Elle collectera également des dons (financiers et matériels) pour les redistribuer aux associations demandeuses.
