Welcome to Happy Cats Haven, where we take in homeless cats and kittens and find them new, forever homes. We are a no-kill (limited admission), non-profit adoption center and serve Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region. Our cats & kittens stay safely with us until adoption, so we get to know them as well as we can. Our homey cat colonies give you a relaxed place to take all the time you need to get to know them. Long after you leave, we’ll be here with cat care support for you & your next best feline friend. Come meet your purrfect match at Happy Cats! Recovering their true personalities Cats bond strongly to their people and their homes, so coming into a shelter can really make them fearful. Very often, their true personalities don’t come out for several days, if not weeks. We use play therapy and clicker play to help regain their confidence and rebuild their bonds with people. We take the time to get to know each of our cats and kittens, noting their personalities, petting, play and scratching preferences. Our comfy cat colonies We house most of our cats in comfortable colonies where they can express their natural cat behavior. Since they live with other cats, we learn about that too, matching them carefully so no one gets bullied. Cats often make good friends with other cats here, so we nurture those friendships and try to find homes where they can be adopted together.
