Mehr Infos

The Dominican Ecclesial Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico is a teaching ministry of the Dominican Central Province of St. Albert the Great. In 1216, St. Dominic recognized the need “to affirm the world as the place where Christ was discovered and to counter false teachings which denied the dignity of our humanity.” 2015 year marks the 50th anniversary of the conclusion of the Second Vatican Council call by Pope John XXIII. He challenged the church to “throw open the windows of the church and let the fresh air of the spirit blow through.” Today, Pope Francis is asking us to do the same! We are called to a re-evangelization, informed preaching based on sound doctrine. We are expected to embrace new methodologies, contemporary thought, critical thinking and prayer as we search for truth (Veritas) in the 21st century. Rooted in the foundational vision of St. Dominic, to study, to preach, to pray and to serve, we promote a unique collaborative ministry of education and adult faith formation. In order to cast the widest possible net, we embrace the use of technology, social media, as well as live discourse as our tools.
