GOAL: provide support to children in the autism spectrum and to their families, in the Castelli Romani area (south of Rome). We want to open a day center, where kids can spend their time socializing, studying, doing their homework and other activities, assisted by specialized staff. We also want to offer the chance to do individual and group therapy. We want to involve the local community, to favor the integration of autistic kids in any aspect of the social life. In order to meet this goal, and any other future goals (we are open to any possible evolution of the project!) we will need your help. OBIETTIVO: fornire supporto a bambini affetti da autismo e alle loro famiglie nel territorio dei Castelli Romani, aprendo un centro diurno dove i bambini possano trascorrere il tempo, socializzare, studiare e fare i compiti, svolgere attività varie assistiti da personale specializzato, e anche fare terapia individuale e di gruppo. Speriamo di coinvolgere tanta gente del posto, per favorire l'integrazione dei bambini autistici nel territorio. Per raggiungere il nostro obiettivo, ed eventualmente per ampliare il raggio di attività (non ci poniamo limiti!), abbiamo bisogno del vostro aiuto.

Laufende Projekte
DAY CENTER OPENING: Our first project is the fund raising to open the day center, which will need to have adequate space for the different activities: smaller rooms for 1:1 therapy and psychotherapy, a large main room to do the homework and any group activities, sensory-break rooms to allow our young guests to calm down when having difficult moments. We also want the center to have a garden, so kids will learn how to take care of plants and flowers when weather allows. Our organization will furthermore offer psychological support for families, access to external facilities (swimming pool, horse riding etc.). And a library will be available to all associates, who will find books on autism and a book swap program. APERTURA DEL CENTRO DIURNO: Il nostro primo progetto è la raccolta fondi per l'apertura del centro, con spazi adeguati per lo svolgimento delle varie attività: sale piccole per terapia individuale e colloqui con lo psicologo, sala grande per compiti assistiti, attività ludiche e terapia di gruppo, sensory-break room dove i bambini possano calmarsi nei momenti difficili. Inoltre vogliamo offrire un giardino per attività all’aria aperta, tra cui anche prendersi cura dell’orto. L’associazione offrirà inoltre sostegno psicologico per le famiglie, convenzioni con strutture esterne (ad esempio piscina, ippoterapia). Inoltre sarà disponibile una biblioteca con materiale e libri sull’autismo, forniti sia dall’associazione che dai soci, con un sistema di scambio.
