This organisation is the largest development charity that operates with the help of skilled volunteers. These volunteers work all over the world through many different areas in a battle to eradicate poverty and to encourage sustainable livelihoods. The four main areas that the VSO work in include health, governance, sustainable livelihoods, and education. Gender equality is also another important issue for the VSO and they make sure all their projects give equal opportunities to both men and women, Primarily the VSO makes sure that local partners and communities are involved in the forefront of their projects so that communities are involved in making decisions that affect their lives.
