Mehr Infos
Lifeshare is a non religious charity registered since 1989 working collaboratively with local authorities, job centres, businesses, media, schools, faith groups, social services, NHS, police, probation, prisons and other charities. At the heart of what we do lies our belief that all people regardless of nationality, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, age, level of ability or HIV status are entitled to respect, empathy and dignity and should be afforded equal opportunities …. Lifeshare employs 5 staff, with the team leader having worked for Lifeshare for 10 years & the Company Secretary for over 25. Lifeshare has a board of 7 Trustees, student placements and volunteers. We are looking to increase our capability substantially due to increasing demand. Lifeshare’s Crisis Assessment Referral Diversity Service (CARDS) works with 16-25 year olds facing homelessness & exploitation (including sexual , financial, emotional/ psychological & gang violence) in Manchester. This may be due to eviction, relationship breakdown, offending and leaving prison or care. Many are Not in Employment Education Training (NEET). We are trusted, non-judgemental, practical and flexible. We offer vital food, clothing and toiletries; as well as information on benefit entitlements. The project has two drop-ins as well as appointments throughout the week. We help build clients’ confidence to access services and opportunities to improve their overall wellbeing.
