HELP FOR NEPAL is a relatively new “Not for Profit” organisations formed by a group of volunteers. Our main area of interest will be in Nepal. Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world. A quarter of its’ population live on less than $1.25 a day. A decade-long civil war and the devastating earthquake in 2015 have made it very hard for communities to lift themselves out of poverty. Almost half of the country was badly affected by the devastating earthquake in 2015. Despite the huge donations after the earthquake, a substantial number of medical facilities and schools are still not fit for purpose. As a consequence, Health and Education sectors are still drastically affected and will take years to recover fully. It may sound impossible for a newly formed charitable organisation to aim to accomplish at this stage, but we believe, with the generosity and understanding of our donors, we are confident that we can make a positive impact in peoples’ lives in Nepal.
