CARA defends the legal rights of poor people who cannot afford a lawyer and helps them to save their homes, keep their jobs and protect their loved ones. We also provide HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support, striving to reduce premature deaths, providing quality basic education for all (especially girls), water and sanitation. To continue the work that CARA provides in the UK and Africa, we rely on people like you. Please consider helping us with a monthly, or you can make a one-off donation, to our work.

Laufende Projekte

Mental Health Financial Project CARA helps community members of the public suffering with mental health problems with financial literacy, debt, money and benefit advice. People from both our community and the public who suffer from mental health problems often have other financial problems that are indirectly linked to their health. This could either be debt or the inability to manage their own money. Since unfortunately for the mentally ill, this can be an added mental burden on top of an already heavy load, CARA works in partnership with mental health staff in order to locate and help these vulnerable people and enable them to maximise their income and in some cases clearing it, ensuring that they claim the correct benefits and advise them how to manage their finances in the future in order to prevent future debts. To continue the work that CARA provides in the UK and Africa, we rely on people like you. Please consider helping us with a monthly, or you can make a one-off donation, to our work. So please dig deep and donate now.
