2020 AgroTechnologies CIC is a community interest company, a business with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the business or in the community, rather than being driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders and owners, thus using business solutions to achieve public good. Social enterprises have a distinct and valuable role to play in helping create a strong, sustainable and socially inclusive economy. In many Rural Communities in the Developing World there are high levels of under or unemployment. Often work is seasonal, especially in agriculture. The opportunities for women are less than those available to men. Education, or access to education, is often limited. These elements conspire against people in building a viable future, yet many of these obstacles are simply and inexpensively removed. It comes down to opportunity. People will work diligently for the furtherance of their own Communities, they will learn new skills and gain a better education if they are offered that chance. Our mission is to provide that opportunity through appropriate technology, skills & vocational training, education and resources, in order to empower people.

Laufende Projekte
We have many Projects on our Website. This is one of our flagship programs. Poverty is at the root of Human misery on a Global Scale, and Education is the key to breaking that cycle of Poverty. Most children gain their early education in their Family and community environment. No child is born without an ability to learn. However, if the foundations for that learning process are limited then the skills and knowledge they are able to assimilate are equally restricted. Education is a right, like the right to have proper food or a roof over your head. Article 26 of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that “everyone has the right to education”. Education is not only a right but a passport to human development. It opens doors and expands opportunities and freedoms. It contributes to fostering peace, democracy and economic growth as well as improving health and reducing poverty. We concentrate on providing free, subsidised or affordable education to all age groups in underprivileged Rural Communities. The emphasis is on accessibility, and the primary medium to deliver the Learning Material is the Internet. We finance the Internet access through a Lend-Lease system, the cost of this is recovered over time and is then applied to expansion. This is a sustainable program, with longevity.
